This weekend was so great! Garn and I wanted me to be able to be there when he got his mission call, but of  course you don't know exactly when it will come. well I've been working basically every saturday and every Tuesday the past couple weeks, and a 5 hr trip each way just might not be worth only 1 1/2 days there... So it just was not looking like I was going to be able to be there and I was accepting that fact. I was scheduled for Saturday, but then for some reason my schedule changed and I got Saturday off! So this opened up a whole other day, and made me consider going to Baker a lot more. Well then one of our drivers needed a cover for Saturday... luckily a different driver took it. Then that guy quit. So I was beginning to get worried that I was going to get called in or have to work some other days or something. But I didn't and I even got a cover for Tuesday! So I traveled to Baker City for a fun weekend, not at all expecting to be there for Garn's mission call. But the very day I got there, IT CAME!!! The Lord blessed us so much! He knows the desires of our hearts and He hears our prayers! Well Garn opened it Saturday night and he is going to North Carolina Raleigh mission in 9 weeks! I am so excited for him! He's going to make a great missionary.

Well the rest of the weekend was also full of fun times. I'll post some pictures later!

If anyone has looked at this regularly the last couple of days, you might be wondering why I have changed it so many times. I just haven't found a template that I really like. But I have settled with this one because I keep having to redo my list of blogs on the right hand side. So other than my new posts, this is what it'll look like for a while. Hope it's an OK look :)

Ugh.. I got the yuckies

So last night I went to bed pretttty late and I wasn't feeling the best, but thought it would go away. Well after 5 hours of sleep I woke up and headed to the bathroom, only to be in there for about 2 hours. Finally at the end of those 2 hours my dad and brother-in-law gave me a priesthood blessing. I am so grateful for the priesthood here on the earth and those who are worthy to hold such authority and responsibility. So thank you to all of you who do such a great job! It was amazing how quickly I felt better. I know that this is not always the case, and that we cannot change the will of God, but I also know that this time God was willing to grant me health. I had previously tried twice to go back to bed, but each time I felt horrible again and ended up in the bathroom. After I received the blessing I went to my bed and was able to get the rest I needed. I went back to bed at 9am and I didn't wake up until 1:22pm!!! It felt great! And I felt a lot better. Before my blessing I felt completely weak. I could hardly talk. I kept falling asleep briefly in the bathroom. It took all of my energy to text my dad to ask for the blessing. When I woke up, after the blessing, I felt much stronger. I could talk. I could text. I didn't get out of bed until about 3:30pm, but when I did I could walk, even walk down the stairs! Well the reason why I woke up at 1:22 but didn't get out of bed until 3:30 is because Kenzie brought me flowers!!! :) :) They're very pretty and Kenzie sat with me and talked with me for a long time. Thanks Kenzie!!

My Work

So I started a job at Godfather's Pizza as a delivery person! That means that I drive pizzas to people's houses and I answer the phone and I cut pizzas and I wash dishes and I grease pans and I put dishes away and I put lettuce, tomato, and cheese on taco pizzas, hmmm and whatever else people ask me to do. This is the only picture I have of me in my uniform, and it turns out I was also brushing my teeth at the time...  :) So that's what I do these days!

Conference

So this general conference was a momentous occasion for me. I got tickets from my bishop and for the first time ever I got to go be in the conference center for Saturday Morning session. It was way awesome and Garn, Karen, and Justin got to all sit right there with me!

After the session we went to a crazy Brazilian restaurant and ate and ate and ate. Garn got to sing in the Priesthood Session, so after we ate, we got him back to the Conference Center and Karen, Justin, and I began waiting...

Lucky Justin got to go to Priesthood Session, but Karen and I had NOTHING to do for 6 hours!!! Sooo we met up with Garn's sister, Heather, and we went to Deseret Book for Ladie's Night (crazyyy idea--soo many ladies) and after a long time we went to the visitor's center and just read.. and read... and read.... and thus we waited for our men. It was quite torturous. We even saw the boys who watched it in the conference center come out. And we still waited.

Well finally they came and Garn went to his aunt's house and I stayed with Karen and Justin. I got to go to the Larsen's house (a family who used to live in our ward) for Sunday morning session and they graciously provided delicious breakfast and conference on a big screen. It was fun seeing everyone again. Garn and I tried to go standby to the Sunday Afternoon session, but we were late and didn't try. We did watch it in the Joseph Smith memorial building, though. And then we journeyed home.. well to Rexburg :)

Garn's Trip to Portland

Alriiight. I looked at my blog for the first time in what... 3 months? And I realized there's a lot of words and that's BORING. So here are some pictures!! :) A picture IS worth a thousand words, right?

Garn got to come to Portland for a whole week after Winter Semester!
One of the many activities we did was that we went to the beach!

He was also here for
 easter and we dyed eggs!

Garn and I stopped at Multnomah Falls on the way home.

It turns out that I don
't know how to work these blog things... so the words aren't by the pictures that they correspond with, but I hope you can figure it out.

We also went to the Portland, OR temple and we got to do baptisms there. That makes 3 temples that we have been to together-- Rexburg, Idaho Falls, and Portland. We wanted to go to Boise on the way here, but we didn't get to. Maybe some day!

That was Garn's trip here! I loved having him here, especially for a whole week. It was hard saying good-bye, of course, but since then he has been able to come for a couple days and hopefully I'll be able to go to Baker soon to celebrate him getting his Mission Call!!

Surprised?

I'm posting on my blog!!!! Are you surprised? Well this is going to be super short

Oh my gosh I'm sitting by a wall of windows and I just looked outside and I definitely saw a guy walking... not riding a bike... but walking with a helmet on. You can never be too safe, I guess. :)

Anyway. I've got some grief about not posting anything on here, so I thought I'd do a really short update.

Only one more month until I'll be home! And Garn is planning on coming with me! I'm excited for everyone to meet my best friend! Garn Brady is very nice young man that I met last semester. He is from Oregon too, but the other side. We have grown closer through the last six months and now we spend some time every day together. Not only is he my best friend, but as of two weeks today, he is my boyfriend. :) He's a really great guy and he helps me everyyy day.

So anyway classes are going pretty well. I believe I have A's in all of my classes. However yesterday we turned in a group project for a class that 45% of our grade is these group projects... So I really hope we did well on it. We'll see. I also have an exam in Science today that could greatly affect my grade. I have a group final presentation due in one week that is basically worth as many points that we have yet accumulated the entire semester! I also have my third math exam sometime before saturday but I took my last math quiz tuesday!!! :)

Anyway almost time for science. I can't wait to come home!
